Single-family house from the XVII century with remains from the 17th century on the ground floor. It is integrated in a typical village block, in front of the medieval wall surrounding the historic village centre. This traditional 180 sqm house on two floors, has a little swimming pool on the ground floor and a pleasant and discrete terrace on the upper floor. Two bedrooms, one bathroom on each floor, a kitchen, a living room and some vaulted spaces on the ground floor make up the inner space of the house. A pleasant and ideal corner to your stay in Empordà and Costa Brava. The house was refurbished in 2004 by the current owners. The most part of ceiling respects the original architectonic structure: wooden beams on the upper floor and Catalan vaults on the ground floor. The new ceilings are built with exposed wooden and concrete beams, that match very well with the original building. The house is furnished with both, restored and modern, furniture and ornaments. All the elements are integrated with outstanding sensitivity. The traditional “Toba Catalana” (hand made terracotta tiles) was employed for flooring all the house. After the entrance, there is a long L-shaped corridor with Catalan vaults, which goes through three rooms with furniture, a bathroom and a swimming pool surrounded by teak wood. At this point, the stairs to the upper floor and the pleasant and discreet terrace with teak wooden table and chairs, a sunshade, a shower and the original potable water well. A fully equipped kitchen for six people, with a fireplace and a table, is next to the terrace door. The living-room, close to the kitchen, has two sofas, a coffee table and cupboards with menage. There are a TV, Internet WiFi access and HiFi equipment as well. A little window in the wall and another one (Velux) in the roof give natural light to the living room. In front of the living room, there is a bedroom for four, with a truckle bed and a double bed, which is above the truckle bed. The second bedroom, with a double bed, is beside the upper floor bathroom, which has a bath and heated towel rail. City tax 0,99 Euro per person per night to be paid on spot.
