La Tzoumaz - 4 Vallées, Switzerland:

Best for: Skiers wanting to enjoy the Verbier ski area, without the crowds and expense!

A view of the 4 Vallées

Our best-kept secret? The small, family-orientated resort of La Tzoumaz is situated in Switzerland’s 4 Vallées region, the country’s largest ski area; connecting the renowned Verbier ski area with the resorts of Nedaz, Thyon, Veysonnaz, Bruson and La Tzoumasz (with one ski pass, the Mont Fort cable car and a series of gondalas and pistes). The compact size of La Tzoumaz makes it ideal for couple-friendly breaks and relaxed, family winter breaks. A ski and snowboard school complement the kids’ clubs (for 2 to 6-year olds), 3 snowshoe paths (totalling 13.5km) and a popular 10km toboggan run, which descends 834m into the village. La Tzoumaz itself offers a limited, but good selection of restaurants and bars, alongside a great selection of modern, budget-friendly chalet rentals (compared to the expense of Verbier). It’s the perfect choice for confident skiers who enjoy their own independence, as well as for those looking to start out.

What does La Tzoumaz offer me?

·       Enjoy the prestigious ski area of Verbier, without the queues and expense!

·       Access to 4 Vallées ski area (410km) & the Mont Fort mountain ski run (3,330m)

·       La Tzoumaz offers 55km of intermediate-level slopes, with long snow coverage

·       Serviced by 2 cable cars, 4 chair lifts, 2 ski lifts, 1 baby lift & free ski bus

·       Toboggan run, ice rink, indoor pool, ski & snowboard school & kids clubs

·       Quieter than neighbouring Verbier, making it ideal for couples & families
